Curriculum
Objectives
We believe that true behavioral change stems from deep understanding, not just memorizing facts. While adhering to all state-mandated topics, our curriculum goes beyond simple presenting information to foster active participation, critical thinking, and personal reflection.
Our program isn’t just about fulfilling a court requirement. We aim to provide a genuinely transformative experience that equips participants with practical strategies for responsible decision-making and avoiding future offenses, exceeding the minimum educational objectives.
We understand that the effectiveness of a curriculum is greatly influenced by its delivery. Our program is facilitated by experienced, licensed professionals who engage participants in dynamic discussions, group activities, and individualized screenings, moving beyond didactic presentations
Our curriculum emphasizes practical application of learned concepts to real-life situations. Through case studies, role-playing, and guided self-assessment, participants gain tangible tools they can use immediately to make safer choices.
Addressing the “One-Size-Fits-All”: While Ohio guidelines provide a comprehensive framework, we recognize that each participant’s journey is unique. Our Program incorporates diverse learning modalities and opportunities for individual reflection and discussion.
Intake Assessment
While adhering to all Ohio DIP curriculum guidelines, our commitment extends to your overall well-being. We initiate this with a comprehensive intake assessment at the start of the program. Throughout the 72 hours, our experienced team engages in personal assessments to understand your unique needs. This allows us to identify if further substance abuse counseling, mental health support, or other resources are necessary, and to provide informed referrals.
Education
Beyond simply presenting information, our curriculum is designed for maximum impact. You’ll engage in structured education sessions led by experienced facilitators, followed by meaningful group discussions that encourage shared perspectives and active participation. Dedicated time for personal reflection allows you to process information, assess your choices, and internalize strategies for preventing future impaired driving incidents.
